Jill Barancik

As one of the founding Executive Vice Presidents and Executive Producers of Harpo Studios in Chicago, Jill developed and Executive Produced numerous hit series for OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, including the two-time Emmy Award winning series Super Soul Sunday, the Gracie Award-winning comedy specials Wanda Sykes Presents Herlarious, and Oprah & Rainn Wilson present SoulPancake. During the nearly two decades she spent working on the Oprah Winfrey Show, Barancik led Oprah’s Book Club and supervised and produced more than 500 hours of programs, including some of the Show’s most memorable episodes: from Presidents George W. Bush and Clinton, to a 20,000-person synchronized flash mob on Michigan Avenue. Whether it was the post-9/11 episode called Islam 101, heralded by the New York Times, or the annual Favorite Things show, Barancik always delivered smart, thoughtful and ground-breaking television. Recently she has been advising and consulting for a wide variety of companies and individuals. A graduate of Mount Holyoke College, Jill began her career at WBBM-TV in Chicago, working as a producer and researcher for legendary anchorman Bill Kurtis.
